One of the missionary kids turned 11 this week, and we were
invited to his birthday party with all the other MKs. We sang “Happy Birthday,” then ate cake,
popcorn, and pineapple flavored lake water (I passed on that one). All the kids were super cute as they
double-fisted their treats. One little
boy was holding a balloon as big as he was, a cup, cake, and a cookie all at
the same time. He was covered in crumbs
and looked like he’d never been happier.
I wish I had a picture of him!
After the snacks and presents, all the kiddos jumped in the
lake. Patrick was playing life guard
since few other adults were around, and luckily he had the camera. He noticed that several of the girls were
practicing baptizing each other!
